announced a new mushroom Classic French product,
Essence de Champignon Gold, that
allows home cooks to create rich, authentic gourmet dishes without the
time and difficulty associated with making traditional stocks and
reductions from scratch.
The new sauce is a 20-time reduction of classic mushroom stock that can be
used full strength to add deep, rich, elegant flavors to soups, stews,
risottos, and pastas, or to add a beautiful mushroom aroma and flavor to
most any finished sauce. With up to 20 parts water, it becomes a truly
perfect mushroom stock, which can be the foundation for a variety of soups
or rice dishes.
Like More Than Gourmet's other classic sauces, Essence de Champignon Gold
is made with only the freshest and finest ingredients, has no chemicals or
preservatives, yet it is shelf-stable until opened.
Essence de Champignon Gold is packaged in 1.5 oz. containers that make 4
cups mushroom stock. It is also available in 16 oz. containers that yield
2-2/3 gallons mushroom stock.
This is More Than Gourmet's fifteenth product in a line of classical
stocks and sauces in the tradition defined by the renowned Chef Master
Auguste Escoffier (1846-1935). It is the only company to produce a line of
French classics made true to Escoffier's original dictates, without
chemicals, preservatives, or other ingredients not found in Escoffier's
traditional recipe.
Escoffier's sauces were prepared by hand, with his staff spending hours
preparing ingredients, chopping and roasting bones, and carefully watching
