Quick Bontemps Sauce
Description
An amazingly versatile sauce made with paprika, onion, mustard, and beer or cider. It works with grilled chicken, pork, veal, egg dishes, seafood, vegetables, or rice.Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 2 tablespoons grated onion
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
- 3/4 cup beer (or apple cider)
- 3/4 cup More Than Gourmet White Wine Sauce
- Salt and ground black pepper
Methods/steps
- In a saucepan sauté the onion in 1 tablespoon of the butter for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the paprika, mustard, and beer and simmer until the liquid is reduced by three-fourths.
- Add the More Than Gourmet White Wine Sauce and continue simmering until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Whisk in the rest of the butter until thoroughly blended. Strain the sauce if you wish, and season it to taste with salt and pepper.
