Quick White Bean Stew with Swiss Chard and Tomatoes

A hearty, Italian-style stew for a chilly evening--and it's simple to prepare!Ingredients

Methods/steps
- Bring a saucepan of water to a boil. Add the chard and simmer over moderate heat until tender, 8 minutes. Drain the greens and gently press out excess water. Set aside.
- In a soup pot, sauté the sausage over moderate heat. Add sliced garlic, thyme, oregano, and red pepper and cook a few minutes. Add the tomatoes and tomato paste and cook a few more minutes.
- Add water, Swiss chard, beans and Glace de Veau Gold® or Glace de Viande®. Stir until blended and simmer over moderate heat for 30 minutes.
- Season the stew to taste with salt and pepper.
