Simple Turkey Gravy
Description
Our homemade-tasting gravy is foolproof, easy to make, and will surely win raves from your guests. It just doesn’t get simpler than this. Nor better.Ingredients
Makes
2 cups
- 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 ounces Glace de Volaille Gold® dissolved in 2 cups hot water
- 1 teaspoon dried tarragon (optional)
- Salt and ground black pepper
Methods/steps
- Melt the butter in a small, heavy saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the flour and continue to cook until it is rich, nutty brown, stirring continuously. Whisk in the diluted Glace de Volaille Gold®, making sure to incorporate all the flour, and bring the mixture to a boil. Add the tarragon, if using.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
