Seafood: Serve with fish, including salmon, halibut, swordfish, trout, and tuna, and with shellfish. Lemon Dill Sauce makes an elegant topping for smoked fish, seafood mousse, or fish or shellfish cakes. It's a classic condiment for a salmon burger and a flavourful addition to smoked fish spreads.
Vegetables: Serve warm with steamed, sautéed, or roasted new potatoes, carrots, snap peas, asparagus, artichokes, broccoli, or green beans, or serve cold with sliced tomatoes, avocados, radishes, and cucumbers.
Poultry: Serve with chicken or turkey.
Eggs and Egg Dishes: Serve with omelets or poached or scrambled eggs, or use Lemon Dill Sauce to substitute for part of the cream in a quiche.
Pasta and Grains: Toss cooked pasta, rice, or other whole grains with warm Lemon Dill Sauce-add seafood, chicken, and/or vegetables to make a meal.
Salads and Side Dishes: Lemon Dill Sauce can be used to dress a variety of salads including potato salad, slaw, chicken or turkey salad, seafood salad, egg salad, and rice or pasta salad. It can also add flavour to steamed rice, couscous, or cooked pasta.
Microwave Preparation* (DO NOT HEAT ON HIGH):
Method One: Place unopened pouch in microwave. Heat on Medium for 8–12 sec. (15–20 sec. for 2). If pouch is not hot, heat on Medium for 5–8 sec. more. Let stand 10–30 sec. Shake and serve.
Method Two: Empty sauce into microwave safe container. Cover with paper towel and heat on Medium for 8–12 sec. If sauce is not hot, heat on Medium for 5–8 sec. more. Let stand 10–30 sec. Stir and serve.
*Directions are based on 1100 watt oven. Heating times may vary depending on your equipment.
Stovetop Preparation: Place unopened pouch into simmering water for 5 minutes. Carefully remove pouch from water and serve.
