SauceMakers Dozen

Recently Brad and Bill - the Sauce Guys - were on one of their culinary excursions to San Francisco and along the way to one of their favorite dining spots they saw a local boulangerie promoting a "baker's dozen." A brainstorm ensued—the Guys are always cooking up something and figured if a baker can do it, so can a saucemaker! Voila, the SauceMaker's Dozen was conceived and presented to the staff upon their return. With great enthusiasm it was announced that we'd launch our version of the baker's dozen and offer two free with the purchase of 12, "just like the bakers do." There was, shall we say, an awkward silence in the conference room until, from the back of the room a quiet, restrained voice whispered, "But a baker's dozen is 13, not 14." It was our accountant, of course. A pregnant pause later, unabashed and unafraid, it was decreed by the Guys that saucemakers just happen to be more generous than our baking buddies and thus the SauceMaker's Dozen was born: Buy 12, get two free.

We've created five versions for our fellow cooks. Each comes in a nifty carton with a tearaway lid for easy storage in your pantry.
