Classic French Demi-Glace made in the old world tradition of Escoffier from brown stock and Sauce Espagnole. Demi-Glace Gold® is reduced four times from the classic and allows you to make elegant finished French sauces quickly and easily. Our low-heat cooking techniques and 30-hour reduction process give the demi-glace a beautiful shine, flavor, and texture, which make finished sauces that are glossy to the eye and decided in taste.

How To Use Demi-Glace Gold®

Reconstitution Suggestion:
Use one part Demi-Glace Gold® to four parts hot water to make a classic demi-glace. Bring to a gentle simmer and whisk until completely dissolved. 

Available Sizes:
16 oz. (450g) - Makes approximately 2/3 gal. (2.4 l) of classic demi-glace. 
1.5 oz. (42.5g) - Makes approximately 1 cup (237 ml) of classic demi-glace.

Demi-Glace Gold® Ingredients

Veal Stock (veal bones, water), Roux (made of wheat flour and veal fat), Modified Food Starch, Mirepoix Stock (made of carrot, celery, and onion stocks), Red Wine, Beef Stock, Tomato Paste, Salt, Celery Stock, Carrot Stock. DEM-NaGI060906

classic french demiglace

I have used this item for over 25 years both in my restaurant recipes and at home. I have never found a better demi glace product and it is equal to any made from scratch demi that I have done.

Excellent Products make you a pro chef!

I have been ordering and using all the products that they offer and I am more than satisfied with the taste they add to anything I am cooking. I especially like beef demi in my AuJus and Chicken demi in all my soups. Such a rich depth of flavor when used for almost anything. I highly recommend these products. I have also used Customer service a couple times and had quick helpful responses every time.

Excellent Product

I have used this product for many years and it is excellent. Flavor, texture, viscosity, little salt are all there. I have used it by itself, had it with a maderia wine reduced sauce and as a flavor booster for sauteed foods or stews. It works very well when making a compound sauce for beef, veal, duck, lamb. The big advantage is I don't have to spend 2-3 days making my own, so it is well worth the cost. I've had their other products, chicken, veal and they're all good. I buy the 16 oz portions but if you want to try their products you can also buy 1.5 oz. portions. If you like making sauces, this is what you need.

Makes a great sauce

I made a port wine mushroom sauce with the French Demi Glacé and served it over a venison tenderloin. It was delicious!
