Superlative Sautéed Mushrooms

These luscious mushrooms, sautéed in our savory Graisse de Canard Gold with a little garlic and thyme, will become your go-to topping for steak, chicken, pork, pasta, pizza, sandwiches . . . the list could be nearly endless.


  • 4 tablespoons Graisse de Canard Gold®, divided
  • 1 1/4 pounds fresh mushrooms, trimmed and quartered (halved if they're smaller)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme or sage
  • Salt and ground black pepper


  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.  Add 3 tablespoons of the Graisse de Canard Gold® and then stir in the mushrooms.  Sauté the mushrooms, stirring frequently, untll they're browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the last tablespoon of Graisse de Canard Gold®, the garlic, and the thyme and sauté another minute.  Season generously with salt and pepper.
